The appearance of the Hare and Hounds belies what you find inside! A typical roadside pub but step inside and how wrong you would be! If you choose to park in the very large car park at the back you will enter the pub through the light, airy conservatory which runs along the back of the building. A real treat in the summer – just relax and take in the views across the countryside or enjoy an al fresco lunch on the patio. Park just to the side of the pub and stroll in to the bar and be greeted by gleaming beer fonts – just the place for a drink while you select your choice from the great value for money menu.
The Hare and Hounds has a reputation which has spread far and wide so be sure to make a booking to avoid disappointment! You can eat in the conservatory or if you prefer choose a table in the spacious restaurant.

Sympathetic refurbishment has meant that this 400 year old village pub retains its character whilst bringing colour and comfort to its interior. Why not relax with friends in the bar before enjoying lunch in our light and airy restaurant. The comfortable armchairs and polished rug strewn floors in the bar area are complemented by stripped back ceiling timbers. By contrast, modern but subtle décor makes the bright, airy 75 cover dining room a delight to eat in during the day.

Candlelight and subtle background music in the evening creates the perfect venue for an intimate dinner. An extensive menu and carvery is available from 12 until 2.30 and 7 until 9pm every day and is accompanied by imaginative daily specials and traditional Sunday roasts. Our chefs have created a well balanced menu using only the highest quality ingredients.
The comprehensive wine list contains well known favourites alongside some new little numbers from around the world. A wonderful relaxed atmosphere where the attention to detail is secound to none.
The spacious garden with patio and lawns provide the ideal retreat for those summer months. Simply sit back and relax with a jug of Pimms or bring the whole family. A children’s menu is available at all times.
